People around us are hurting—and Christians are called to carry the compassion, wisdom, and grace of Jesus into the lives of others.

Basic Soul Care is a practical, Scripture-grounded three-session online course on Zoom designed to equip Christians with foundational tools for walking alongside people experiencing emotional pain, relational struggles, disappointment, trauma, grief, and difficult seasons of life.

You don't need to be a professional counselor to become a better listener, a safer presence, and a wiser source of encouragement.

Throughout these three dynamic and informative sessions, we will explore the intrinsic value of every person as someone created in the image of God, God's redemptive purposes for our lives, Active Listening, emotional intelligence, healthy differentiation, body language, basic trauma responses, relational dynamics, forgiveness, ethical boundaries, and the practical structure of a lay-level pastoral counseling conversation.

Three Sessions. One Integrated Journey.

Session One — Seeing the Person


Discover the biblical foundations of soul care, human dignity, identity, emotional intelligence, and healthy differentiation.

Session Two — Hearing the Story


Develop practical Active Listening skills while learning to recognize body language, relational dynamics, emotional responses, and basic trauma responses.

Session Three — Helping Toward Wholeness


Learn how to conduct a healthy lay-level pastoral counseling conversation using Scripture, prayer, discernment, forgiveness, appropriate boundaries, practical next steps, and referral when necessary.

Who Should Attend?

Basic Soul Care is designed for pastors, ministry leaders, small-group leaders, prayer ministers, mentors, Christian coaches, lay counselors, and all Christians who feel called to help bring healing and wholeness to people.

 

Our goal is not to turn Christians into therapists. Our goal is to help Christians become compassionate, discerning, biblically grounded, emotionally healthy, and ethically responsible caregivers.

 

Jesus entered people's pain with both grace and truth. We can learn to do the same.
